Adolf G. Tolkachova spied 6 years <\/span><\/p>\n

Adolf Tolkacheva was born on 06 01, 1927 in the city of Aktobe Kazakh SSR. from 1929, he resided permanently in Moscow. 30 years, married. Tolkachova was working staff at the Institute of Radio and had access to a top secret military data type. Adolf G. was one of the developers of the invisible aircraft. On the path of betrayal, he became taken by reasons of financial gain. <\/span><\/p>\n

During month 09 1978, Tolkachova left a note beneath the wiper machine for an employee of the American Embassy in Moscow. In the note, he said that for the United States he may pass extremely sensitive data that will change the balance of forces in the world. The note hit the residency Intelligence Directorate in Moscow, where they demanded the instructions of the Centre. The CIA did not respond, and two subsequent attempts to contact Tolkacheva feared provocation of the Soviet counterintelligence. For Tolkachov success was achieved only the fourth time. For he left a phone number and called the CIA to orchestrate a hiding place. The first meeting took place on 01 01 1979. <\/span><\/p>\n

Adolf Tolkacheva enjoyed six years of treasonable activities for the United States and passed the fifty-four top-secret developments, among which was the electronic control system of the MiG and devices to circumvent radar. Tolkachov made film, shot on top-secret documents and handed them over to American intelligence. In return, he received cash, imported medicines, cassettes of rock and roll for his son, and books. In general, for the complexity Tolkachov received 789.5 thousand Rubles and about 2 million. Rubles were accumulated in a foreign deposit in a foreign bank in case of flight by Tolkacheva abroad. However, to live a traitor, despite the enormous financial opportunities, he tried to live modestly. Of the riches he had only rustic cottage and VAZ-2101, in the stores, “Birch”, where they sold goods for hard currency, he knew not to go. Howard gave the KGB a lot of top secret information and the name of Adolf Tolkacheva . On 09 06 1985 Tolkachov was arrested. During the investigation he admitted guilt and begged not to impose the death sentence. The court found him guilty and sentenced him to capital punishment – death by firing squad. On 24 09 1986 the sentence was executed.<\/span><\/p>\n

Peter Popov was born in 1923, not far from Kostroma to a peasant family. He fought in WWII. When the war ended, Popov became Commissioner, under General Ivan Serov, the deputy supreme commander of the Soviet military administration in Germany of Civil Administration and concurrently Deputy Commissar of the NKVD. In 1951 he graduated from the Diplomatic Academy and was assigned to Austria, in the contingent of Soviet troops. Serving in Vienna his main task was to recruit agents from among the Austrian citizens to work against Yugoslavia, which in those years, the Soviet Union was in a stage of conflict. <\/span><\/p>\n

From 1954, Popov began to cooperate with the CIA as agent \u2018Greyspeys.\u2019 USA created work with the Special Forces via Popov, CIA SR-9 (Soviet Russia), which subsequently directed the actions of all the agents in the Soviet Union. CIA generously payed for the services of the Lieutenant Colonel, and he gave up all his known agents in Austria, opened a training system for the GRU and the KGB, and the structure of these departments, gave some valuable information regarding the Soviet weapons and military doctrine, organization scheme motorized and armored divisions in the Soviet Army . In 1954 the CIA received through Popova a report on the conduct of the first Soviet military exercises with the use of nuclear weapons in the region, Totskoe. <\/span><\/p>\n

On 23 12 1958 the CIA made a mistake that cost the life of Popov. A secretary misunderstood his designation and sent instructions to Popov’s home address in Kalinin. After that Popov was recalled to Moscow and put under close surveillance. In month 01 – 02 1959 the KGB knew of Popov\u2019s several meetings with CIA agents. On February 18, he was detained at the Leningrad Station in Moscow. At Popov\u2019s home was found 20 thousand. Rubles, ciphers, gun of Walter designation and instructions for communication with the United States residency. Popov was charged with treason. On 07 01 1960 the Military Collegium of the Supreme Court announced the verdict – the death penalty. The sentence was executed in 1960<\/span><\/p>\n

Leonid Polishchuk . Twice a traitor of the USSR<\/span><\/p>\n

Leonid Polishchuk <\/span><\/p>\n

Leonid Polishchuk (born in 1938) joined the foreign intelligence of the KGB during the early 1970s. He was sent to Kathmandu. There, he became addicted to gambling and alcohol. After losing in the casino about $ 300, took from the cash from a register , Polishchuk started thinking about how to avoid punishment and \u2018did not find anything better to do than to offer his services to American residents in Nepal. John Bellingham, a resident of the CIA\u2019, who agreed immediately. For specific information Polishchuk received a considerable sum of money. In 1974 Poleshchuk withdrew from Kathmandu to Moscow. He told his American supervisor he would not be cooperating with the CIA, and the contact between him and the American intelligence service stopped for 10 years. <\/span><\/p>\n

In 1984, Lieutenant Colonel Poleshchuk was sent to Nigeria, and about a year later he decided to get in touch with the CIA. In a department store, he pretended that he\u2019d sprained his leg. To the doctor, who came from the American Embassy, Polishchuk recalled a password: “I – Leo, from the country of high mountains. Hi Bellingham. ” In just 10 days he made communication with Richard Ball, a resident of the CIA in Nigeria. <\/span><\/p>\n

Polishchuk for the CIA gave all Soviet spies and agents operating in Nigeria, and after returning to the Soviet Union he continued to work for the Americans. In the Spring of 1985, Soviet counterintelligence got on the trail of Poleshchuk. They identified his relationship with the staff of the American Embassy, – the fixed tab hiding place disguised as a rock. In it was kept the money and instructions. On 12 06 1986 by the Military Collegium of the Supreme Court came the sentence – death by firing squad. The sentence was executed.<\/span><\/p>\n

Oleg Penkovsky. The most successful agent of the West operating in the USSR<\/span><\/p>\n

Oleg Penkovsky – best western agent<\/span><\/p>\n

Oleg Penkovsky was born on 23 04 1919 In the fall of 1960, Colonel Penkovsky, an employee of the Main Intelligence Directorate (GRU) of the General Staff of the USSR Ministry of Defence offered his services to British intelligence, he later worked with MI5 and the CIA. qFrom his first London trip during month 05 1961, Penkovskiy brought a transistor radio and a miniature camera \u2018Minox\u2019. He managed to convey to the West 111 films \u2018Minox\u2019 filmed with 5500 documents totaling 7,650 pages. During trips to Paris and London, he was questioned for a total of 140 hours, and reports questioning fit 1,200 pages of typescript. According to the documents published in the West, on a tip Penkovsky stung 600 Soviet spies, including 50 – GRU officers. <\/span><\/p>\n

In 1963 Oleg Penkovsky was charged with spying for the United States and Great Britain and with treason. He was deprived of all the awards and was sentenced to capital punishment – death.<\/span><\/p>\n

Vladimir Winds. A murderer too<\/span><\/p>\n

In 1965, Vladimir Winds visited France, as a representative of the trade mission and met with Jacques Prevost, the responsible officer of the company, \u2018Thomson CSF\u2019 engaged in the manufacture of electronics. It turned out that he was cooperating with the French DST counterintelligence and Winds became a target for recruitment. While drunk he crashed a company car, he wanted to avoid litigation in the embassy,so appealed for help to the new French friend. Prevost helped him, but warned counterintelligence that Vetrova now had something to hide. Then the cooperation did not happen, because the Vetrova trip ended. At that time he worked in the “T” of the KGB, to analyze the scientific and technical information coming from abroad. <\/span><\/p>\n

Over 2 years of agent \u2018Farewell\u2019, this nickname was assigned Vetrova in DST, passed to the West 4 th. Secret documents, including the full official list of 250 officers Line X, placed under the guise of diplomats around the world. He also revealed the names of the 450 employees of the Soviet intelligence, who collected scientific and technical information.<\/span><\/p>\n

During month 02 1982, while under the influence of alcohol, Winds killed a KGB Officer. The Tribunal found him guilty of murder and sentenced to 15 years in a penal colony, with deprivation of awards and military rank. But after 2 years Vetrova transferred to Lefortovo prison (Moscow) and faced charges of treason. The court’s verdict – death penalty and this was executed 23 02 1985.<\/span><\/p>\n
