(C-V Admin) SIS Forum Topic: ‘Any description of the current geopolitical situation quite rapidly becomes obsolete’.
One tries to trace the causal relationships happening in world politics, and then one comes across the economic interests, alliances competing corporations and oligarchs dependent on governments, and governments that depend on the oligarchs and corporations, group and personal interests of politicians and bureaucrats. Further confusion in all this is the added international organizations and associations – from the UN to NATO and the EU. Their role, sometimes very active, playing association of believers – from churches to the Sufi orders, quasi-military political structures such as “Hezbollah”, “Islamic state”, “en-Dzhabhat Nusra” or religious sects.
This whole political landscape is changing with kaleidoscopic rapidity. Individual conflicts exist for centuries, but unions are almost always short-term and transient interests. In this connection, the replicated media attempts political scientists and political experts use to describe and even more transformation of the modern world circuit goes back decades, at best, cause laughter. Talk about “Rockefellers and Rothschilds confrontation” or “Slavs and Anglo”, describing the situation in Ukraine, or the Middle East, the same, trying to win a war in which the enemy uses precision weapons, satellites and aircraft carrying sea-based group, with the help of the cavalry and bayonet.
However, any description of the current geopolitical situation is quite rapidly becoming obsolete and needs regular updating. And it makes sense to analyze what is happening with all the factors that affect or may affect a particular system. That involves not only the delivery mode of the current time as the vast array of “field” and analytical information, but also its fair consideration, that in itself is difficult. Hence the constant failures in the findings and theories – from the possibility of building around the Russian “Slavic world” (most notably the example of Bulgaria, Poland and Ukraine) to a catastrophic simplification of the processes taking place in the Islamic world, including hyper-exaggeration of the role of the Arab-Israeli relations. Russia is working to establish winged smart missile
The Russian Air Force in the future will receive the winged “smart” missile, said Air Force Commander Lt. Gen. Viktor Bondarev.
“Missiles are with built-in intelligence and which will analyze the air and radar environment, it (the missile) itself will decide how high and how fast, in what direction to fly. Such missiles are already here, we’re working on their development and their application, “- said the commander. He stressed that none of the strategic bombers, nor other aircraft will be able to overcome the missile by virtue of appeal to air defense systems. qBondarev also said that the latest anti-aircraft missile system S-500 will be supplied to troops in 2016.
Anti-aircraft missile system S-500, developed by defense “Almaz-Antey”, as a replacement of the existing anti-aircraft missile systems. S-500 will be able to capture a wide range of targets at altitudes of up to 200 km.
Russia launches a global system of control over missiles
Already in 2014 the troops of aerospace defense must run into orbit spacecraft “Tundra”. From this moment, is the deployment of United Space Systems, one of the functions of which will be a warning of a missile attack.
Conclusion; “Tundra” into orbit is scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2014. The facility will be performed from the Plesetsk Cosmodrome using rocket “Soyuz-2.1b” and the upper stage “Fregat”.
Sets such as “Tundra” must replace the system of “one-eye.” Innovation would very likely indicate region defeat not only ballistic, but also other missiles. Thus on the “Tundra” will be installed command and control, and if necessary, the apparatus can give a signal about retaliatory strike
Day and night, with children, with bales and livestock people are fleeing from the territories controlled by the Islamists. “Thousands of Kurds were killed. Around 40,000 refugees. Our city is controlled by the Islamists,” – says Dzhahhar Ali Begg, a representative of the community of Yezidis. – They looted our homes, desecrated our holy places. They made a real genocide. ”
Where are hosting rebels, their orders medieval and worse. The court is satisfied immediately, on the spot. The sentence is usually one – the death penalty. Women are shackled with chains and driven through the streets so the Islamists can choose their new wives. Men bind and strip them, checking whether they are military hiding.
(C-I) SIS Forum : ‘The current struggle between the U.S. and Russia.
The uprising in Kiev brought to power a coalition of pro-Western and ultra nationalist politicians. Putin saw this as a challenge to Russia’s international standing and its internal order.
But the answer to this challenge is a very real and a long-lasting conflict with the United States. Verbal resistance, U.S. global hegemony is not enough. Unlike the war in Georgia in 2008, Ukraine is not an episodic event that can be localized and enclosed in parentheses. In fact, the current struggle between the U.S. and Russia is a struggle for a new world order.
In the foreseeable future, Ukraine will remain the main battleground of this struggle. Moscow’s tactics may change, but its fundamental interests may not be changed. Main goal – to keep Ukraine in NATO and the U.S. military – to Ukraine. Among other objectives – preservation of cultural identity on the Russian Ukrainian south and east, as well as preservation of the Crimea with Russia. In the very long-term status of Crimea outcome will be a symbol of this rivalry.
In a broader sense, it is not so much competition for Ukraine, as in Europe and in the direction of its movement. Unlike the early years of the Cold War, when there was overpowering fear of communism, the current situation in Ukraine and the U.S. conflict with Russia can cause controversy. Do western Europeans in general see threats from Russia? In addition, they do depend on Russian energy supplies and supply the Russian market (or did supply) their export products. Kidnappings earn al-Qaida £70m (UK pounds) in ransom money from Europe
European governments bankroll al-Qaida’s attacks on the west after paying £70 million in ransoms to free hostages. But Brits and Americans are less likely to be kidnapped because terrorists know “we don’t pay”. According to one US official, the terrorist group made more than £70m since 2008, with most of the cash believed to have been paid by European countries. It’s feared that a British passport could be seen as a death sentence for kidnap victims.
Retired US ambassador Vicki Huddleston said: “The consequences for a kidnapped Brit or American is that they might likely be killed because they (terror groups) know they are not going to receive a ransom.” “The US warns ransoms are now terrorists’ second biggest income source after state funding” Brit Edwin Dyer, 60, was decapitated in 2009 in Mali by al-Qaida, after Britain rejected demands for the release of fundamentalist cleric Abu Qatada and the payment of a multi-million pound ransom.
The US warns ransoms are now terrorists’ second biggest income source after state funding. France has shelled out almost £35m, including £24m for four hostages released from Niger in October last year. Nasser-al-Wuhayshi, leader of al-Qaida in the Arabian Peninsula, has previously said: “Thanks to Allah, most of the battle costs, if not all, were paid through kidnapping.
“NATO is not ready for the threat of a possible Russian attack on one of the countries – members of the alliance – said in a report of the UK Cabinet Defence Committee on 31/07/14.” In NATO structures have serious flaws. “We need to reform the organization and improve the rapid reaction force.” – The world prepares for a very large, perhaps even the last war.
Japan: Relations between Russia and Japan after World War II has overshadowed an unresolved territorial dispute. Japan claims the Kuril Islands; Etorofu, Shikotan and Habomai archipelago, referring to bilateral trade and Treatise on the borders of 1855. Return of the Islands to Tokyo was a condition of a peace treaty with Russia, which after the Second World War and was not signed. Moscow’s position is that the Southern Kuril Islands became part of the Soviet Union by the end of the war, and Russia’s sovereignty over them having international legal formalization, can not be questioned.
On Monday, Secretary General of the Government of Japan, Esihide Suga,- Japan unveiled new sanctions against Russia in connection with the situation in Ukraine. Sanctions involve the freezing of assets in Japan, individuals and organizations “directly involved in the Crimea to Russia and to destabilize the situation in the east of Ukraine.” Japan agreed on their actions regarding new projects through the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development on the measures that the European Union adopted.
U.S. Army analyzes the possibility of sun flamethrower system salvo TOS-1A in Iraq
It is reported that Iraq has purchased from Russia a new weapon in the fight against militants of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (IGIS) – flamethrower system salvo TOS-1A (“sun”, lightweight model TOS-1 reduced number of rockets on the launcher – 24 instead of 30, according to military parity with reference to aviation week.com July 31.
This system was first used against the Islamic Mujahideen in the 1980s, and was kept secret until the 1990s. TOS-1A is a unique combat system on the chassis of the T-72 is equipped with 24 incendiary rockets caliber 220 mm with a range of up to 6 km. Each missile can carry 100 kg of air-fuel mixture (thermobaric warhead). All 12 rockets can be issued within 12 seconds, bringing the target to 2.6 t fiery mixture.
Insufficient range, large size and weight PU, rockets made system ineffective in a war of maneuver, flamethrower systems have not been developed in other armies. The initial objective of the system would probably destroy caves and makeshift bunkers sheltering Afghan insurgents. TOS-1A was the main weapon in the fight for control of the city of Grozny (Chechnya) in 1999-2000. This system is the perfect weapon in fighting in urban areas, if the damage done is not important for commanders. The air-fuel mixture diluted with air and blows, creates a pressure of 30 atmospheres and a temperature of 3000 degrees. The mixture enters through cracks in leaky tank and destroys its powerful and fiery blast.
The report of the U.S. Army noted that vest does not provide adequate protection against high temperatures and pressures produced during bursting thermobaric warhead. The blast wave can cause extensive damage to the internal organs (primarily the lungs and gastrointestinal system), which can not be easily diagnosed and stabilised in combat conditions.
