“Islamic Jihadists are religious heretics. They sanctify violence. They see evil as embodied in other races which they must exterminate. They believe any action brings them closer to paradise on earth, no matter how cruel or barbaric, it is justified. They find in their fundamentalist beliefs sanctification of their rage and victim hood. Becoming a warrior, a Jihadist, a champion of an absolute and pure ideal, is an intoxicating conversion which lifts believers out from a confinement of profound despair. These converts create a viral universe, divided between good and evil. They believe they are anointed to change history by destroying the power structure around them. They embrace hyper-masculine violence as a ‘cleansing agent’ for the world’s supposed ‘contaminants’, including those who belong to other belief systems, races and cultures.”

“Ordinary crimes are usually made without claims for publicity, but terrorism today – is a form of extreme violence, affecting the consciousness of society, paralyzing political will, intimidating people and causing damage to the authority of the state in the international community.”

“Those who support terrorists are themselves terrorists. There is no such thing at all as a ”moderate terrorist” and to assume this to be the case is a very severe indictment of the mental status of the concerned decision makers in this respect. “

“Who are the ones offering legitimacy to the women raping, beheading scum by calling them ‘moderate terrorists’? The ones in places of power, whose self-glorifying, fictionalized agendas are mirrored by the ‘western’ press? If we are fighting terrorists and in addition, against their supporters, where are our efforts likely to end up?”

*Salafism and Hizb ut-Tahrir; guided by Saudi Arabia, are the
most serious threat to the whole region of Central Asia.
The Saudi regime has been able to institutionalize
Salafism and radical thinking of Wahhabism in Central
Asia by deploying Salafi preachers, establishing various schools
and constructing mosques at large and heavy cost.
More worrying is that youth are influenced by this damaging
trend. The adherents of these movements do not accept native
religious scholars and religions and act upon fatwas of those
sheikhs who are popular on the internet in all countries.
In recent years, Salafists have been working secretly. For instance,
unlike other native Muslims they do not wear white caps and
offer their prayers in Hanafi style. Salafists sessions and lectures
are held at the apartment rooms thus detecting and controlling
them is extremely difficult.
Today Hizb ut-Tahrir has revised its working techniques and has adopted
its strategy as per regional characteristics and emphasizing on social
initiatives they are entering at the same time their members in
government agencies, including the military.
Many Kazakh Salafis have become hard Takfirs and participating in
terrorist attacks, in for example Kazakhstan, but their news is not
published in the media. Western countries want to use the development
of Takfiri ideas of Saudi Arabia in wrecking the situation of the Central
Asian region and engaging Iran and Russia, who have been enjoying
relative peace in this area.

The main objectives of terrorists are; the implementing of large-scale destruction, accompanied by a greater number of human victims, creating an atmosphere of tension and fear in the community, thus, the pressure on public authorities and local self-government in order to take the necessary decisions with regard to terrorists is manifestly great.”   Stephen Wyndham-Lewis

.

Objective; To examine and analyze the ideological
orientation used by religious extremist groups, to
develop tools and form of information content which
is necessary to oppose them, to work with young
people with a view to de-radicalization.

The main ideological tenets of religious extremist
organizations. Formation of the information content
in order to de-radicalize young people.

Monitoring and in-depth analysis of the origins of terrorism
gives reason to believe that when searching for ways to improve
the effectiveness of the fight against terrorism it seems the
most important issues are of ideological confrontation.
For the role of the ideological component is most important in
the formation of terrorist threats, and the organization of
an effective response to these threats.

.

Modern security systems of anti-terror

Counter-terrorism, which is based on prevention activities,
has become the most important area of public policy on
national security. Its main component is to counter terrorist
ideology. The ideology of terrorism – a set of ideas, concepts,
beliefs, dogmas, of targets, slogans, justifying and justifying
the need for terrorist activities and to mobilize people to
participate in this activity. This collection includes material
scientific and practical ;

“Combating terrorism ideology – system approach and practical
guidelines, ‘ held in the framework of modern security systems
of counter -terror.”

The damage from false calls – anonymous terrorist threats
can be huge and sometimes comparable to the damage
caused by this act of terrorism itself. The cost of one call can
reach up to thousands of pounds. For example, one message
about the threat of an explosion in a major shopping center
from each hour of downtime can be in the millions. –
Just when determining the financial damage is taken into
account there is in addition the cost of the work involved
for the inspection of premises by law enforcement.

.

Monitoring and in-depth analysis of the origins of terrorism – in
searching for ways to improve the effectiveness of the fight against
terrorism issues of ideological confrontation seem the most important.
The role of the ideological component is crucial in the formation of
terrorist threats, and the organization of an effective response to
these threats.

.

Short paper (ref 23) An excessively large role is played by television,
radio and print media on social thought, ethics, philosophy of society
and individuals today. This ability of the media – to be an effective
means of creating a social climate – the maximum use of a separate
category of people trying to solve problems to achieve their political,
economic and other objectives by influencing citizens’ groups and
layers. Moreover, the polarity of this effect depending on the challenges
ahead, can be both positive and negative. An example of this is the
active use of the unique capabilities of the media by extremists and
terrorists all and without exception. The directions, and other ideological
currents.

.

Short paper (ref 24) In the providing of information and psychological
stability in society, a significant role belongs to the media. It presents
the relevant requirements for the form and content of the information
flow – in a world faced with new threats, actively developing
integration processes that contribute to the resolution of armed
conflicts and combating international terrorist organizations. In the
integration processes are important information exchanges with the
media to ensure mutual understanding between countries with
different cultures

.

Short Paper; The role of the media in countering the ideology
of terrorism and extremism

Today the question arises, that for the first time in the history of
humanity, we are faced with a new information situation – the
amount that falls upon each person, exceeds the rational capabilities
of the body to absorb and digest it

.

Short paper; The ideology of countering terrorism and extremism
in the context of national security

Thesis; It is advisable to develop all the problems associated with
terrorism. In the peer-reviewed literature there are many approaches
to the development of the problem of terrorism. Some believe that to
solve the problem of terrorism one can use the appeals process. The second
extreme is that the problem of terrorism cannot be resolved, because
its strength lies in the ability toward aggression and violence. As history
shows, the violence has not been overcome for many centuries

Short paper; Conceptual approaches to the formation of the
anti-terrorist ideology

Thesis; If we start from the interpretation of the ideology of terrorism as –
On Combating Terrorism – which defines terrorism as an ideology of violence
and practices influence decision-making by public authorities relating to the
intimidation of the population and illegal acts of violence. The anti-terrorist
ideology must be an unsystematic ideology (terrorism) so to oppose it as a
system. The anti-terrorist ideology must be an ideology of humanism, peace
and tolerance, which also requires additional deciphering. Tolerance and
humanism should be limited in scope, in order to avoid a too broad an
interpretation

Imposed extremist belief systems are very attractive to young people
because of their simplicity and uniqueness of their postulates, promises

.

Short Paper (ref 33); At the end of XX – beginning of XXI century has
greatly increased the degree of risk of terrorist challenges. Terrorism
has become a factor that poses a serious threat to the national security
of individual states and international security in general

“Concurrently, special forces soldiers and the police justifiably complain that the preparation for the assault, the talks – all this is an opportunity for the terrorists to strengthen both their capacity and their defenses.  As a consequence, one might tender the view that the security forces are at a risk of losing.  This cannot be the case.”

“Without any argument to the contrary; the perpetrators of terror are now far better equipped, they are more professionally trained in all aspects of war.  The vehicle of atrocity – the propaganda machine, in the disseminating of its diabolic message, is utilizing state of the art techniques of presentation.  Therefore, it is prudent to state that it is a fundamental requirement that we be in a position of superiority in this respect.”

Short paper :  Terrorism as a threat to national security. .

Short Paper : Salafism as an ideology of authoritarianism

.

Short Paper : Radical Islam

Note : The violence of radical Islamism is the main means to an end. Acts of terror have become an integral part of the political life of a number of Muslim and European countries. Terrorists are trying to instill fear in the community, to intimidate their opponents to create an “image force” that properly helps ideologically mobilize Muslims for jihad against the “infidels” and the creation of an Islamist state (caliphate). Fundamentalist proponents of populist and mostly understandable to Muslims slogans of social justice and harmony, have a serious foothold in the wider Islamic masses.

.

Notes : On securing the educational environment – Countering the ideology of terrorism and extremism

.

.

“Previously, it was thought that the majority of terrorists hailed from the poorer sectors of society, that they had limited mental and social outlook, possessed visible moral defects – as no adequate, sane person would kill other people or blow him/herself up. But now we are seeing a trend of sharing, for example; radical Islamism, not only among the marginalized, but in the upper social environment. Certain persons passing into hiding are the children of well-to do, and sometimes even of high to-do by regional standard parents.
Recruiters are entering universities, recruiting their supporters among the highly educated youth, and this represents an extremely serious threat to the spread of extremist ideology.”
