Where they love they do not desire and where they desire they cannot love. They seek objects which they do not need to love, in order to keep their sensuality away from the objects they love.”

Sigmund Freud. (1856 – 1939)

.

(C-V) Hi. There is a report I want to talk to you all about. I know you have read it, but I am interested in your viewpoint. So let’s discuss.

(Report appears at bottom – Appendix I)

(C-III)  (Reading report)

(C-I) Thanks. We have already discussed in depth the ‘issue’ associated with those who ‘have a problem with women’ because it is not what they say, it is why. What is said is utter stupid crap and a waste of brain excitation so to respond. Why they choose to spout off, is much more interesting, I mean, what really lives (lurks) at the heart of the matter.

I could say that if ‘he’ genuinely thinks women are less physically able than are men, then come see me in the gym. I won’t say that because it’s the obvious and expected response, only proves the basic point, and I (we) are not prone to such. It’s not about the physical anyway, rather, a deeper psychological issue.

(C-V) Such verbiage comes out when life has suddenly become boring for a man, retirement looms and seizing upon what appeals to likewise warrior, living in fantasy pillocks who read the press, just makes for a groping for some kind of reputation, short lived.

In later life, for some men not that long awaited, there are the issues associated with physical decline generally, specifically prostate issues. These issues require medication which very effectively is male castration, that or the real thing. This is not to be referred to lightly as it’s very serious.

.

Photograph (C-I) from Section : Operative Field Skills. Acting Skills and the Spy

.

(C-I) That too, castration complex? The second issue, as I said, is a psychological (psychiatric) matter. This is better addressed (to save reiteration because we have talked about this extensively), men who make these claims are defending against what they cannot deal very well with, if at all, and which is; what very capably has the authority to destroy them. Like I said, it’s not about physical strength, or any other physical capacity the human body can perform, but an inner fear of devastation in the face of insurmountable female superiority. You have to bear in mind that human bodies are very fragile, irrespective of the cinema portrayal, and neither sex has capacity over this. I think the article refers to women in the military, but this covers a whole gamut of roles and more which are nothing to do with the military. There are so many roles which require guts and skill of inconceivable height and which women excel, just as do men. The military does not have exclusivity in this.

(C-III) Are you saying the way to deal with it (‘devastation in the face of insurmountable female superiority’), is to launch a verbal attack which is an unconscious denial of what you say?

(C-I) It’s not necessarily unconscious, because any number of encounters, going right back to the breast, can accumulate and be felt on the surface of life. How can these encounters be assimilated into the male superiority assertion? The easiest way is to descry a woman’s physical strength and over generalize, which is rather limp, to say the least.

(C-III) The authors of this article on pain tolerance (see below), finds that men have a higher tolerance of pain than women :

“In a recent review Notermans and Tophoff noted wide disagreement in the relationship of pain sensitivity to sex. They cited five publications which stated that sensitivity to pain is greater in women than in men, and five publications which reported no differences between the sexes in pain sensitivity. Interestingly, there is virtually no experimental evidence to back the widely held notion that women are more tolerant of pain than men.

One explanation for the sex differences in pain tolerance might be a desire on the part of male patients to impress a young appealing female technician. With this in mind, we reviewed our records and found;that during the test year eight female technicians were employed—five Black, two White and one Philippine. Their age range was from 28 to 60, with a mean age of 41 When the personnel supervisor was asked if any of the technicians were likely to elicit a”show-off” response, the answer in seven instances was “no” and in one “possibly.” It thus appears that the sex-appeal factor was not a significant determinant in the higher pain tolerance of men.”

Pain Tolerance : Differences According to Age, Sex and Race

(C-I) OK. It’s a fact that in most cultures women live longer than men. In the U.K. all races considered, women now live an average of 80.1 years, compared to 74.8 years for men. So, from a longevity standpoint, women score higher. Many studies have demonstrated that women have a higher pain tolerance than do men, an evolutionary adaptation from childbirth.

Women can live longer than men without food because women have more body fat and less muscle mass than men. Since fatty tissue needs far fewer calories than muscle, women have the double advantage during starvation of having less muscle (thus burning fewer calories) and more fat (thus having a greater amount of stored calories) which translates into a metabolic advantage during times of famine.

Due to having less body mass, women use up fewer natural resources ( air, water, food, fuel, etc.). Women generally have higher social and emotional intelligence than do men, are less violent and aggressive, are almost never serial killers or sexual sadists, and are far safer at driving a vehicle.

Having two X chromosomes provides a huge health advantage, which is clearly the case for X-linked diseases, such as color blindness and hemophilia. These diseases, caused by mutations on the X chromosome, almost always affect men. Women have two cell lines, one paternal and the other maternal with different X chromosomes active, if just one of a woman’s X chromosomes is healthy, it can prevent the expression of most X-linked diseases. Men who have a sick X chromosome will inevitably be affected, as they have no back-up X chromosome from a healthy cell line.

Parthenogenesis – asexual reproduction occurring only in females – the growth and development of embryos occurs without fertilization by a male. Parthenogenesis always results in female offspring because the offspring invariably possess two X chromosomes. While there are no known cases of naturally occurring mammalian parthenogenesis in the wild, it does occur in a variety of species and is a possibility in humans. Therefore, it is possible for women to reproduce without any male genetic contribution (sperm, darling), while it is impossible for men (you) to procreate without women (moi).

Suck that. And I’m getting bored with this conversation.

(C-V) Wow and hey, don’t be bored. We have the upper hand :

Women traditionally retain less fibrous muscle mass in their upper bodies than do men who are able to build mass in their upper bodies far more quickly. Yet, even with this bloated fact in mind, women still gain the requisite upper body muscle mass to dead-lift objects just as successfully as do men. For both sexes, intense preparation is required and, as many women and men discover through experience, many men are not as strong in terms of their capacity to dead-lift objects as they may appear, or claim. Women and men’s lower bodies are different, yes, but the skeletal and muscular differences have no direct bearing on strength as it is defined in cultural mythology. Insofar as women have denser muscle mass in their pelvis, upper leg and lower leg, it can often be the case the women’s ability to hold weight (lifting facilitated by knee bends) is slightly greater than is men’s. To accommodate childbirth, a women’s pelvis structure is roomier (the pubic arch is a right angle in the female and the ischial spines extend out straight from the ischium in women). Despite these distinctions of strength, the cross-cultural held on to myth regarding male physical strength persists, har, har, even though women’ ability to bear children certainly ranks them as being the strongest of all.

.

(break)

.

(C-V) Going back to the ‘male superiority assertion’ – as you said, it has a basis in fantasy dramas, more in cinema’s over idealization than anything else, and where sexual domination can be played out. In real life it’s a different matter. Are we living in a world of make-believe, want to believe . . . need to believe?

(C-I) In certain ways yes, but the seriousness of statements of this kind the article contains, can become fodder for the assuming and acting out of wider social disparities, not to forget the creation of instability within, which is a security issue. It begins as rubbish but many (men) like the idea of being more able, and add the role into their own propensity. Being more able then finds its way into all kinds of role expectations, many social contexts and as I said, volatility can ensue.

(C-III) Women being takers and men being the givers?

(C-I) Yes. I can birth you my boy, nurture you and endure you indefinitely, yet I’m still the taker? Give me a break. The mother bond is paramount, which is why there is the requirement to cover, to denigrate, to deny it. Most men would never bear the pain of childbirth.

(C-III) What do you think to the reference ‘feminist zealotry’?

(C-I) I’m not sure what he’s referring to with that, other than to assume he thinks the military – combat roles – is/are the sole dominion of men. Men together, leering at lesbian porn. Har, har. Bravery, endurance, grace under fire, as I said, is paramount for any number of occupational roles, irrespective of the sex of the participants.

(C-I) On a serious note; we must work to promote what fulfills the obligation that we all share (or should, women and men alike), which are; equal rights, toward a meaningful and a long lasting experience of life, come what may.

(C-III) I agree with you, but there is the factor of women and emotion :

The early shaping of views regarding emotional expression results in women being more emotionally expressive than men are. It is important to note that we are referring to the expression of experiences and not the actual experience itself; the external rather than the internal. Studies (*see article below) show that women are perceived to express emotions more than men, but that there is little difference in the perception of men and women’s emotional experience. Therefore, it appears that the consistent gender differences in the emotion stereotype literature are based on beliefs about the expression of emotion more than they are on beliefs about the emotional experience.

Gender and Emotional Expressiveness

(C-I) I’ll read that, thanks. Can I just add that there are distinct ways that men and women react emotionally and distinguish emotion in other people. Let me read this:

All studies of cultures finds women more inclined to be more emotional, agreeable, extroverted, and conscientious than are men.

Women read other people’s emotional responses more clearly than men do, regardless of whether the emotional cues are verbal or visual.

Women experience love and anger much more intensely than do men – re; assessments of gender differences in emotional response. Women also smile more when recalling memories of happiness or love.

Men and women respond to stress in altogether different ways. Women display greater sadness or anxiety than do men, while men show >> an increase in blood pressure and a tendency toward alcohol craving. <<

Women are more inclined than are men to experience disgust when exposed to what elicits an emotional response.

Years of research does point to many differences in the ways men and women interpret emotions and respond emotionally. Gender differences matter more than sexual orientation . A heterosexual woman and a homosexual woman have more in common emotionally than do a heterosexual woman and a homosexual man.

So there.

.

Appendix I

Here is the BS report / extract which prompted the discussion:

Letting women into combat roles is a “social engineering project” by “feminist zealots” who would never sign up themselves, and the price will be paid in blood, a former British Army colonel claims.

First he rounded on those who support the scheme, accusing them of “feminist zealotry,” while hinting that they themselves were too cowardly to fight.

“The people who have demanded this change – politicians desperate to be seen as ‘progressive,’ feminist zealots and ideologues hell-bent on equality of opportunity without exception – would never dream of volunteering,” he raged.

On the whole, women are simply not strong enough to carry out an infantry role due to the high physical demands of combat, he said.

**** argued many British soldiers would resign because “every infantryman knows that the price for this social engineering experiment will be paid in blood.” He said the combat role and its demands are unique, having barely changed in the last 100 years.

**** called the move “foolish” and said it would “reduce the capability of the infantry, undermine our national defenses and put lives in danger.”

He said “equal opportunities” is not cause enough to justify the change in policy.

Elsewhere it has been argued that opening up roles in the fighting ‘teeth arms’ of the military is less down to feminist zealotry and more about military cuts, operational draw down and a recruitment crisis.

U.K. Defense Secretary Michael Fallon said in a statement.

“Women have already given exemplary service in recent conflicts, working in a variety of highly specialized and vital roles. By opening all combat roles to women, we will continue to build on these successes and improve the operational capability of our military.”

Women usually have more body fat than men, and therefore are better at burning fat as energy early on in exertion, as a consequence women can enjoy better endurance than men, (re; 2001 study. American Journal of Physiology, Endocrinology and Metabolism). Men keep more muscle mass and have higher levels of circulating testosterone, on average, which means that men use more energy than women do. Men’s muscles are liable to fatigue more easily than are women’s – women recruit muscle groups to share the load more efficiently (re; 2003 study. Journal of Applied Physiology).

Appendix V

From kindergarten, girls demonstrate more self regulation than do boys. Girls tend to follow rules, pay attention to specific instructions and details as well as display an overall sense of self-discipline by working through long term assignments despite boredom and frustration. Girls are also more likely to choose their homework before indulging in relaxing activities such as watching T.V, reading or using the internet.

The sciences and mathematics are considered subjects in which males are expected to perform better due to the higher enrollment of boys to classes such as engineering, chemistry, and quantum mechanics. However, >> girls achieve overall higher grades in school, making them better than boys in science, even if they are not comfortable with the subject.<<

A study by the University of Sussex showed that girls are better computer programmers than boys (by creating a more complex coding system while designing a 3D role-playing game).

The University of Western Ontario discovered that women handle the stress of a job interview better than men. It was found that women come better prepared by researching on the company and having mock interviews with friends before the final day. Men, on the other hand, took things easy and only prepared at the last minute.

Men are seventy-seven per cent more likely to die in car accident. Carnegie Mellon University carried out tests to demonstrate that men are indeed more careless while driving.

Female supervisors tend to play a maternal role in the work place. Women are better able to understand emotions and body language making women rational thinkers and team coordinators.

A study carried out at McGill University indicates that estrogen provides women with an edge when fighting off infections. The hormone produced by the female reproductive system confronts a certain enzyme which hinders the body’s first line of defense against bacteria and viruses.

Appendix VI

In brief, proposals for dealing with gender differences ; one can argue that we should accept gender differences, based on the fact that feminine women and masculine men tend to be happier than those who are gender atypical. According to the latter, boys and girls should be encouraged to develop both stereotypical and non-stereotypical emotional responses without judging them or trying to shape them.

.

(C-I) Note : In Section ‘Mental and Physical’, we discuss what in our life amounts to the completely stupid and utterly pointless preoccupation (there are many), and which gender by far is the main protagonist. One fundamentally important point : what amounts to literally nothing (other than marking time), but is attired in the wardrobe of male gender characteristics, invariably has control issues at heart. Therefore it is crucial to see and understand these characteristics exactly for what they are and never be seduced into whatever thought or action such domineering (delusional) compulsions demand.

Comment (C-I)

We share a world with human beings fraught in conflict and which manifests in the character of the epoch.  However, one can take solace in the indisputable truth that there are women who are exemplary in altogether unique ways and who by virtue of their fabulous contribution impregnate not only these days, but future ones with a very special meaning.  Posterity will not remember the warring males vying for power, they matter not, they never have mattered, nor does what they claim as being theirs, what they claim as true in their image.  Only the women matter, which is why we are here.

.

(C-III) I’m surprised you attribute brilliant and meaningful contribution exclusively to women. You ignore the merit worthiness of men throughout history.

(C-I) In the arts and sciences I agree, generally speaking, and would retort with these men being more like women than their male counterparts. In fact I see them as women, not men. I feel their expression as woman-atypical. I have male mentors who are different in their extremity.

(C-III) OK. Do continue, please. This is interesting actually, because few would agree, especially those you’re aiming at.

(C-I) Who cares? The men in question, I’m referring to their hold on reality as it was and is dealt them now – the controlled chaos, the coveting of power come what may, the stupid delusional beliefs that fuel ideologies which at best are horrendous insult – and by virtue of this state, how what these extremely different men really are, and manifest themselves in so very unique ways.

It’s not written simply as being men who revere women, it is much more, obviously.

(C-V) Can I add something? I was thinking how Albert Einstein could never return to Nazi Germany. How Sigmund Freud had to flee the Nazis for fear of his life. How women unable to flee and deemed ‘enemy’ ‘different’ ‘useless’ were killed. It’s the decisions made that we have to regard as ‘something else’, I’m not sure what exactly, but they (the decisions) are fueled by what I have problems in defining – the etiology of a decision to execute women, or anyone. Denouncing people; women and men alike, is not confined to any one period, nor ideology, it’s the compulsion to control (at best), to silence, to eradicate.

(C-I) For justifications which are nothing more than convoluted linguistic ploys, given drama so to engage the masses in atrocity making. Attainment and contribution is at the negative extreme, and one fact is paramount, the meanings are not meanings but completely fabricated ploys fueled by hatred.

We could just go with the flow, be ambivalent, but what would be achieved by our being so? We have a duty to examine and debate, irrespective of who we accuse. This is because and as I said, we don’t have forever, nor do they, but there is something of what we say that will remain. Conversely, there is nothing of the haters, the genocidal and suicidal maniacs that will remain, irrespective of their claim, the likeness to themselves they are compelled to impose across the morass who, because they are made compliant, go along with it, many unquestioningly.

(C-V) I agree. Who do you think wouldn’t agree?

(C-I) Maybe I can answer that (or try) by pointing to who, while throughout my observing of others, there appears the compulsion to impress, to tender personal characteristics; being the all-knowing, the sacrosanct authority and the answer, coupled with a photograph or three, which appear more as advertising billboards than anything else. Most people wouldn’t agree because they are not the tellers, if they were there would be a long ‘look at me’ resume attached, et cetera.

(C-III) And you don’t stand accused of doing just that – ‘tendering your personal characteristics’? Minus the resume. That you don’t use the same power ploy, or should I say, using what you are extremely proficient at doing?

(C-I) Of course not, to the first and definitely to the second – me being extremely adept. I think we should discuss adeptness.

(C-III) Yours, or ours?

(laughter)

(C-III) I think we should discuss how things are, not so much how you think things should be.

(C-I) The way I see things is the way things are. Simple. The way I like to imagine things is the way things really ought to be. This particular issue is easily resolved; anyone or any group who assumes women in subordination are not just kidding themselves, they are contemptible. There is no precedent for subordination, regardless of assumption, attitude, stereotyping, convoluted and enforced religio-politic ******* ****, ************* ******** ************************* and so **** ***.

(C-III) Not so very eruditely put. My girl, your capacity for perspicacity precedes you.
